Designed by Revamp Interior Design, Tavo is a fusion restaurant located in the heart of the West Village. Born of the partnership between Chef Julieta Ballesteros and owner Francisco Decrescenzo, Tavo is named for Francisco’s grandfather’s nickname (fun fact: Tavo is Miami slang for a “cool, well-to-do Mexican guy”). From the menu to the decor, Tavo showcases Chef Julieta’s eclectic experience, starting from her early days at Mama Mexicana, to Crema, and Chino Latino. From the moment you enter, the restaurant exudes a warm, authentic, yet modern atmosphere, with white painted brick, copper, warm grey oak, and green accents.
